Research Activities
From the last few years, Institution has given special attention for its vertical growth, resulting into five P.G. courses and four Ph.D centres (Mechanical, Electronics and telecommunication, Computer Science & Engineering and Civil Engineering) where 150-200 graduate students are pursuing higher education. This resulted into growth in research activities in the institution. Institution has also encouraged our faculties individual interest in research activities and special budget for that has been sanctioned. This year following major activities have taken place:
- State of the art research facility through eight research projects of more than Rs. 9 Cr. from various funding agencies viz. DST, AR & DB, BARC, RGSTC, AICTE, DBT, BRNS, etc.
- More than 50 scientists of national and international reputation including Padmavibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Padmavibhushan Dr. R. Chidambaram, Padmabhushan Dr. S. B. Joshi, Padamshri Dr. Sharad Kale and Padamshri Dr. Kota Harinarayana have visited the institute
- Formation of Institution’s Innovation Cell under which experts in technologies guide students about their projects
- Development of five specialized labs for key areas of research which include Micro-Nano Laboratory, Rotor-testing and Dynamics Lab, Roller Chain Lab and Rural Human and Resource Development Facility
- Publication of more than 534 Research Articles and 40 books
- Filled 15 patents by students and faculty members
- Organization of extensive technical events to give exposure to students and faculties, which include Olympus & Kimaya for students and various STTPs and Conferences for faculty members
- Exposure for students to carry out cutting edge research in the field of Micro-fabrication, Rotor dynamics, High-speed machinery and High-Performance Computing
- Organization of theme meetings on alternate Technologies for Societal Development
- Organization of International Conferences on Technologies for Societal Applications
- Development of total 09 products under Product Development activity
- Consultancy of Rs. 20,57000/- received in the academic year 2020-21
- Financial assistance to faculty and students for participating in conferences and technical events
